More Monique Parent

I've said it before: One of the reasons we feature Monique in the blog so often is that she's incredibly prolific.  Now that she's self producing some projects in addition to working with and for others, she sometimes seems to be working all of the time.

Tina-Desiree Berg and I managed to find a small break in her schedule and talk to her about the things she's been busy on and a thing or two that she has coming down the line.

It's no secret that Joel D. Wynkoop and I have worked together quite a few times.
See him in my movies online such as "Stopped Dead", "Indiscretions", "All Wrapped Up" (multiple roles) and "Death Plots".

He used to write for "Cult Goddess Magazine" when we had a quarterly online layout.

BCinema Talks! - The Powers Behind Karma Klub

Join the Klub!

So, recently, Tina-Desiree Berg gave me the opportunity to co-host a podcast with her.  It's about independent film and TV and genre media.

This past week we recorded our first two shows and they will be available on the BCinemaTV site soon.  This first episode, however, is more time sensitive than others.

Tara Cardinal of Karma Klub is trying to raise awareness for the show in order to win a grant, which will make filming it easier and allow her and the rest of her crew to better achieve the very solid vision they have for this project.

Feminism! - International Women's Day

As today is a day to celebrate women, I have two videos for you.

One, a BBC 2 video that encapsulates how some women feel today.  Watch out the language is not safe for work. NSFW.

The other is a video which my wife directed many years ago when I was doing a short for a green film festival.  She had an idea, but I had already decided to direct my own and told her I'd shoot hers if she directed it herself.  She did.
